Missoula Children’s Theatre

West Woods Elementary PTSA and Missoula Children’s Theater Present:

MARCH 5 – 10, 2018

Performances: Saturday, March 10 at 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm

Monday, March 5, 2018 from 3:00 to 5:15pm

Grades: Kindergarten through 6th grade

Students wishing to audition must have turned in a registration form, arrive by the scheduled starting time and stay for the entire two-hour session.  This is a group audition – no advance preparation is necessary, but a smile never hurts. Students should just be ready to come and have a good time!

There is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the play.

Monday, March 5th through Friday, March 9th, 2018 (After School)

The first rehearsal begins approximately 15-30 minutes after the audition for a few select parts.  While not all cast members will be needed at every session, those auditioning must have a clear schedule for the entire week and if selected, be able to attend all rehearsals required for their role.

DRESS REHEARSAL: Friday March 9th, 2018 from 5:30 to 7:30pm

All cast members are REQUIRED to be in attendance.

Saturday March 10th, 2018 at 2:00 and 4:30pm

The performances will be presented at West Woods Elementary School.  All those cast must be available for all of the rehearsals AND both scheduled performances.

We realize that the children may have other after-school commitments, however, this is a once a year opportunity!  This is a truly amazing program and experience.  If your child is interested, we suggest you consider the possibility of missing a week of the other activity.  Rehearsal schedules for the week are distributed on Monday, immediately following the audition so you have the ability to identify any potential conflicts for the week at that time.

What is the play about?

With his ship wrecked and his trusty computer JCN on the fritz, brave explorer Gulliver finds himself lost in space with nothing but an Invisible Force to guide him! While transporting from world to world, under the control of the Maniacal Scientist of Lapunta, Gulliver discovers fighting aliens, arrogant Horse Leaders of the foolish Yahoos, larger- than-life royalty (in more ways than one) and robots – all who need just as much help from Gulliver as Gulliver needs from them! Tune in as this sci-fi spin of the timeless tale of GULLIVER’S TRAVELS will take you out-of-this world!

COST TO PARTICIPATE: $55 per child, includes all rehearsals, performance fees and costumes.  Participation fee due at rehearsal by Wednesday 3/7.   Tickets to the show will be $4 per person, per show and are sold the week of the performance.
