Cafeteria Makeover

New Year = New Cafeteria! The students came back to school January 8th to a new cafeteria! The Fuel up to Play 60 Student Team led this mini-makeover. Their “fuel up” goal this year is:

“It all about your choices – go nutritious”

They choose the cafeteria as their first area of focus. They wanted a fresh, fun, welcoming, healthy school cafeteria – and boy did they deliver! There is a farm to table theme throughout – a colorful farm scape mural, farm stand with menu board, restaurant style faux wood wall near the serve line and of course an amazing farmer wolf on the wall (drawn by the amazing Mr. Josh Stolte – 5th grade teacher). The entire student body voted on the new name of the cafeteria – Wolf Pack Café.

We have many people to thank who made this possible: all the volunteer painters – especially the family of Emy Lee (2nd grader) for their artistic talent on the mural wall, Lowe’s Home Improvement, VinylWorks, Western Dairy Association/Fuel up to Play 60, DeCino Family Dentistry, iOrthodontics, Sherwin-Williams, Ms. Carrie Wallace, Ms. Deb Wilson, Jeffco Facilities and Paint Department and the entire Fuel up to Play 60 Student Team – YOU made this dream come to life!

BEFORE PICTURES:

For some reference, here are some before shots of the cafeteria. Don’t think anyone will miss the PEACH PAINT, huh?
